No more C-mas cards!!!

I'm getting sick of making C-mas cards. I'm still plugging away on my custom made family cards. My idea was to make e/one a custom card since I don't have time to make a present. I hope I don't regret this & it just get thrown in a corner. I have spent alto of time on these.
I have used red line tape w/ glitter
2,my first easel card which has taken me 2 years to do. I have a spatial relationship problem. I had to print out the directions for the measurements. after I made it I understood the concept better. I made an improvised one for Emma since i glue the pic on the wrong side of the card.
3,gateway fold for Katya's card
4 pamphlet fold
5.distressing & tearing uneven edges
6 brayer w/ Big & Juicy pad for a sky
7.watercolor wash w/ color pencil for l/house stamp
8 learned how to mask image w/ the masking tape

Toby's book taking more time than expected. I didn't want to pay $5? etc for a c/board book plus s&h. they are hard to find in El Paso. DH cut out 8 4x4 pieces for me to use from a cereal box. I had to cover both sides of the pieces.They have been under the book press x3 to dry. I still have to write on the titles, color in the letters on the cover,Mod Podge it so the paper looks neater, & then tape it together. A lot of drying time on this projects. It has images of trucks & trains on it.
I still have 3 more family members cards to work on this week.

4th of July cards

I finally d/loaded my vintage 4th of July c/art & printed it out Fri. I did it w/out Allen's help.I made sure I got ones I could print from the site instead of having to save it & having to have it reformatted. This is what I wanted the color printer cartridge for. I used up the 1st on alcohol ink pages. Allen used a gift certificate as a surprise for me so I could have it for my cards.
I doing my 1st swap,I needed s/thing Vintage. I used my Ranger Distress ink pads along the edges of the c/stock. I used the walnut,new Fired Brick pad & remembered I had denim in my drawer.Even analytical Allen thought they looked sharp.
I used the Stickles,gold,silver,Starry night on some firecracker patterned paper. It really added a pzazz Ialso used an old f/cracker stamp that I embossed,used some Stickles on it for the spark. I showed Allen these,so he could see why I wanted some more Stickles. He wanted to know how I did the f/crackers.

HOLD ON TO UR HATS!!1 It's getting windy again. 2 more storms are to come in. It got dn to 30's with a chill factor. Last wk we broke a record@ 78F. That's El Paso for U.
Gut is feeling better. This is enough motivation to stay on the GF diet. Had to eat up my cache for the blood wrk last w/end. The Shredded Wheat w/bran tore up my gut.I had to eat another batch of egg custard. I didn't really enjoy my treats. We did go eat a Gyro before I went back on my diet.
Played w/my clear stamps today. I got out Laura's new spring stamps.The markers wrk really nice. I try clear embossing pwd. on the bright colors. They really glow.I wished I had tried clr pwr. before,I can get so some many colors that emboss. I tried denim d/pad w/ the clr.pwd,it really stands out. I also tried putting different color marker on the clear stamp after the 1st stamp was made. An interesting variation on color happened. I'm trying to get a feel for the clear stamps. I used a CD case for a big stamp,a tip from Scrapbk.com .Also Itried a bottle cap for a small flower stamp.
Want to do some fall stamps w/my clear stamps for my s/bk pgs. I'm on my 3rd section on the layouts for my mission s/bk. I did 5 more LO's
